The Festspielhaus Bregenz reflects on a triumphant 2024, having welcomed over 400,000 visitors to a diverse array of events, all while advancing through the third phase of its renovation works. Director Gerhard Stübe commended both the dedication of the entire team and the adaptability of clients and guests alike: "These figures speak for themselves and inspire us to continue striving for excellence."

Open House on 22 February

With construction and refurbishment now complete, all facilities are once again fully operational - a milestone that will be marked with an Open House on 22 February. Visitors can anticipate a rich and varied programme featuring guided tours, workshops, concerts, and exhibitions, curated by the Festspielhaus team in collaboration with the Bregenz Festival and the city of Bregenz. It presents an ideal opportunity to explore the Festspielhaus in all its diversity.

Enhanced Flexibility and Upgraded Infrastructure

The comprehensive modernisation of the Festspielhaus now provides unparalleled flexibility for the planning and execution of a wide spectrum of events. Since spring 2024, the bright, welcoming foyer of the Werkstattbühne has been greeting guests in an inviting atmosphere. July also saw the launch of a state-of-the-art kitchen, boasting increased space and optimised workflows. This allows the ten-member catering team to deliver culinary services for multiple concurrent events with even greater efficiency.

A packed event calendar underscores the venue’s strengths: the seamless organisation of diverse events, with a keen focus on cutting-edge technical production and first-class client support.

A Continuous Stream of Event Highlights

In 2025, the renowned art fair STAGE will make its return to the Festspielhaus, alongside the congress the best place to live, dedicated to the sustainable future of Alpine living spaces. Bregenz will also host the 2nd Sustainable Tourism in Austria Summit, reinforcing its commitment to sustainability. Further highlights include the DGT DACH Annual Surgery Conference, the Bregenz Festival, the acclaimed dance series Bregenzer Frühling, the Bregenz Master Concerts, as well as musicals and a host of other events.

Nurturing Young Talent

The Festspielhaus Bregenz remains committed to fostering the next generation of professionals. Alongside existing apprenticeships in event technology, office administration, and garment design, a new programme in metal technology has been introduced. With a record-breaking ten apprentices and a dedicated study placement in trade fair, congress, and event management in partnership with the Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University, the Festspielhaus is making a lasting investment in the skilled workforce of tomorrow.
