The DSTNCMP, the leading event for the tourism industry in German-speaking countries, chose the Festspielhaus Bregenz as the venue for its 14th edition, held in May 2024.

Around 280 specialists from Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Liechtenstein and South Tyrol got together in the Festspielhaus Bregenz for four days of intensive discussions on the topics of  digitalisation with AI, environmental management, destination development and the common good. The entire building was transformed into a stage for a unique combination of congress, BarCamp and moderated workshops; meetings, networking and get-togethers took place on all three levels.

"We were at the Festspielhaus with the DSTNCMP²⁴ in May 2024 and are still full of enthusiasm about it! The location with views of the Seebühne stage and Lake Constance is absolutely amazing and provides the perfect conditions for high-quality events. Good public transport links, excellent personnel, and great service. Together with the Kongresskultur team we definitely rocked it – one of the best DestinationCamps yet. Thanks to everybody who contributed to it – just unbeatable! So, we really enjoyed it a lot!"

DSTNCMP

According to the event team, the DSTNCMP has continued to evolve since its inception, adapting the concept to new challenges and refining the methodology. The programme is created on the basis of open surveys on discussion topics, and the results from the sessions are comprehensively documented in the magazine WERKSCHAU – community building in its finest form.

Proceedings were launched by an inspiring ignition talk in the Großer Saal – one of many innovations at the event. The topics of the conference were worked on collectively in interactive sessions in the rooms Bodensee, Panorama, Propter Homines, Seegalerie and the Blauer Lounge.
Throughout the conference, a DJ was on hand to provide musical accompaniment in the catering areas in the Seefoyer and Foyer 2.

The varied supporting programme functioned as a central part of the congress. The DSTNCMP made the most of the whole region where the host is located, in order to offer participants added value. Participants who were interested were able, for instance, to look behind the scenes of the Festspielhaus and also to visit a local yak farm.

The high point was the gala evening with the theme “Black & White” that was held in the Werkstattbühne theatre space, where winning participants were awarded their DSTNCMP24 prizes. The night ended with an exuberant party surrounded by original roulette and blackjack tables at the neighbouring Casino Bregenz.

A particular focus of the conference was sustainable organisation. The DSTNCMP was carried out as a Green Meeting & Green Event.

DSTNCMP24 - Day 1 to 3

"We couldn’t be more satisfied. An incredibly cool, brilliantly equipped and varied event venue. A breathtaking location on Lake Constance with different views of the lake, the Seebühne stage and the town. Professional, flexible and very open-minded staff, who on top of that are super nice people. What more could you want? The interaction was a lot of fun. We have not only the strong desire but also the need to come here again. 100 out of 100 points and highly recommended!"
