2020 conference of the Austrian hotel industry association

“The hotel as a stage” was the motto of the conference of the Austrian hotel industry association (ÖHV), which was held at Bregenz Festival House from 12 to 14 January 2020. It was attended by more than 630 participants from all over Austria, Switzerland, Germany and South Tyrol.

Talks, round tables, gala evening, trade show

A common thread that ran through the programme of events was the art of staging. The branding invited attendees to “Roll up and step right in!” Guest speakers gave talks on stagecraft, and various stages inside Bregenz Festival House were used as atmospheric locations.

A fitting prologue for the conference was a tour of the Bregenz Festival lake stage. The participants then came together for the opening, the round tables and the talks, which took place in the Great Hall. For the opening evening, visitors were led through the red curtain onto the main stage.

The foyers, which are flooded with natural light, were the setting of the trade fair at which the many partners were able to present themselves. The conference attendees were able to find specialised information there on a wide range of topics including hotel facilities, software solutions, and recruiting staff.
The gala evening at the end of the second day of the congress took place on board the passenger ship Sonnenkönigin and included a trip out onto Lake Constance.
